deer-crossing-roadAccording to an annual survey conducted by a major insurance company, Pennsylvania ranks second in the list of top 20 states where motorists are likely to collide with deer.

Pennsylvania carries a 1.41 percent likelihood of deer vs. car beaten only by West Virginia, which comes in at 2.56 percent likelihood.

Nationally, there is a 1 in 169 chance of hitting a deer on the road, but as you may have guessed, that varies among the states.

Be extra vigilant when driving through known deer crossing areas. Striking a deer can cause considerable damage to your vehicle.
