This ad for E. R. Munro and Company from 1918 was found in some archives recently. The company began in 1885 as the Guarantee Company of North America in Pittsburgh, PA. Edward R. Munro joined the company in 1894 and six years later, he hired S. I. Aronson. The two worked together for 18 years before leaving and starting their own business, E. R. Munro and Company. In addition to selling surety bonds, the company expanded and sold insurance.
