According to a recent study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau, Pennsylvania is the number one state in the country for animal related crashes.
Pittsburgh ranks number four among U.S. cities.
Pennsylvania had the most animal loss claims at 145,728 for 2014-2017 and Pittsburgh had the fourth most animal loss claims at 2,115 for the same period.
Allegheny County had the most deer crashes at 909 and Westmoreland County was fourth with 667.
For those of us living in western Pennsylvania, these statistics are not surprising. Drive safely!
